Dealing with Bill Collectors

When a bill collector contacts you about a debt, that bill collector is most of the time committing commercial fraud because that do not necessarilly represent the actual creditor. The actual creditor has written off the debt. In other words, you no longer owe them. However, it is the bill collectors who place themselves on your credit report because they "bought" the debt from the actual creditor. They bill collector is gambling that they can make you pay the debt or get you in a situation where they can garnish your wages.

The following documents are actual letters sent to bill collectors which made them stop their collection activities. The documents were mailed in response to finding the collection agencies on my strawman's credit report. They removed themselves from the credit report when they could not validate the debt.

These letters only work on corporate bill collectors. They do not work on your landlord or the property company that you may rent from. They do not work for child support, utilities, judgments, or traffic tickets unless the debt has been sold to a collection agency.
